What type of alcohol is tequila?


Tequila is a distilled alcoholic beverage that was originally made in the city of Tequila in the state of Jalisco, Mexico. This drink is obtained from the juicy tissue of a native plant called agave. This drink has 30% alcohol. Tequila is actually the same vodka or native liquor of Mexico City. Tequila, which is called by its origin, is the first alcoholic drink that was processed in the Americas. Generally, drinks made from agave are called vodka mezcal. To use the name tequila, producers have to follow certain standards. These standards specify the agave planting area and the composition of the drink.
